Greetings! It’s with great pleasure that we would like to inform about our endeavour to initiate an International Film Festival in the Capital city, Delhi.

On the occasion of 100 years of Delhi becaming the Capital of India and 100years of Indian Cinema, Delhi International Film Festival.

DIFF2012 Will be a grand showcase world cinema in Delhi during the 7 days event (21st Dec to 27the Dec.at Sirifort Auditorium,August Kranti Marg and NDMC Convention Centre,New Delhi Municipal Council, Palika Kendra Building, Opp. Jantar Mantar, Parliament Street New Delhi.

Today Delhi being a capital does not have a film festival of international repute, thus keeping a vast swathe of population away from accessing a wide variety of films from various countries that make up the international film movement showcasing filmmaking trends fromacross the globe. An International Film Festival in Delhi would fill two primary gaps – that of not having an international film festival in Delhi and that of giving people in the region access to a wide variety of Cinema.

An international film festival where some highly interesting cinematic work get showcased, could become a platform for a wider literary discourse, and put Delhi in the map of World cinema circuit with this annual endeavor.
